# use data management to import existing data

I am trying to import some test data into Collect using Data Management module. When i clicked "Data Managent" from the Collect home page, i was presented with one interface to pick the Survey and Sampling unit. But the drop-down lists for these two items are empty! What is going on here?

You Must **Publish** the form using survey design. That can be found by clicking gear icon. If you have to import data. You have two options first desktop collect format/Mobile collect format. You may also import in .csv format.
