# How to assign a null value to a calculated field?

Asked by flandsberg on 2017-09-19

Hi,

In certain instances, I want my calculated field to be assigned a null value. I cannot find the right syntax for it. Would anybody know?

Thanks,

Florence

Dear Florence,

Fields are assigned as null (na) when a condition you imposed for that attribute is not met. Therefore, if you need to set a value as null, you just create a condition "Apply when". If it is met, you get a value, if it is not, you get a null.

Let us know if it worked.
