# No new button in Data management

Dear Open foris team,
I have several forms. Among them, a survey does not have a **NEW** button in data management. The rest of all surveys have the button. first, we tried to send the data from mobile to collect server using the internet, *An error occurred:* displays in the mobile screen but the connection is successful with the server and mobile.

So, I decided to import the data via a mobile exported file to collect desktop manually. when I try to do so, there was the absence of the **import** button in the collect desktop. Neither there was a *New* button. In this situation how can I convert my mobile data (2200 records) into excel or CSV?

Dear Rajkumar,  
Can you check in the "Survey Designer / List of Surveys" the group the survey belongs to?  
Then please check in "Security" if the user you are logged in with is allowed to insert/modify records in that group.  
We will verify the import from Collect Mobile and we will let you know, maybe you will have to install a new version of Collect in your server if there is a bug.

Thank you very much for your prompt response. after posting my question I again researched this issue. what I did change group the survey belongs to the default public group. I cloned this survey and named renamed. and it started working. Thank you. I am still confusing the behavior of the group of the surveys. Thank you again.
