# Navigation Based on input Coordinate

Asked by Rajkumar on 2023-08-16

To the Open Foris Team,

I have a suggestion to share. It would greatly enhance user experience if we could implement a feature in the mobile arena. This feature would involve tapping on input coordinates, which would then be displayed on the map along with a generated route for reaching that point. However, it's important to note that this feature might not always be applicable in areas with dense forest coverage where roads or routes might not be present.

Alternatively, an even more beneficial option would be to allow users to tap on input coordinates, after which the system would not only display the navigational direction, but also provide information such as distance and estimated travel time based on the user's speed. This comprehensive feature would serve as an all-in-one solution for navigation needs.

Thank you for your attention to this suggestion.

Best regards,
Rajkumar Rimal

Dear Rajkumar,
Do you mean something similar to the "Navigate to expected location" feature in Collect?
That one doesn't require internet connection and the user can see a compass that helps him to walk to the expected location (that is a location linked to the coordinate attribute with a distance check) and it indicates the distance to that location.
Let us know, many thanks,
