# Bug Report: Cannot connect new Google Earth Engine account

Asked by hirotak on 2026-09-09

Hello SEPAL Support Team,

I am unable to connect my newly created Google Earth Engine account to SEPAL.
While my older GEE accounts connect without issues, my new GEE account (which requires a Cloud Project) fails. The SEPAL UI shows the warning: "SEPAL has been disconnected... Please reconnect and select a Cloud Project," but the dropdown list for project selection remains completely empty, preventing me from proceeding.

This is a copy from answer in Github.
 1. Go here: https://console.cloud.google.com/cloud-resource-manager (using the account that is having the issue connecting)
 2. There should be a label with the key "earth-engine". If it's missing, that's the problem.
 3. Select the project, Add "earth-engine" manually as a new label and try again in SEPAL.

This is something Google used to add automatically, at least in the past,
and it lets us identify which projects have EE (Earth Engine) enabled.
