# linux ubuntu configuration

Hi all?

I have just installed OpenForis and CE on my linux Ubuntu 14.04LTS however, collect earth is not running neither. Kindly help.

Hello Joehene,

Do you have Google Earth ( or Google Earth Pro) installed in your computer?

Do you get any error messages from Collect Earth?

Is there a log file in the folder *~/CollectEarth* called earth_error.log ? In that case post the text here so we can take a look!

I have google earth (not pro) and the error.log file is empty. CE is not displaying anything on running

Is Collect Earth installed properly? Are there any contents on the ~/CollectEarth folder?

Do you have the Collect Earth launcher file? Is it set to be an **executable** file???

Can you please give some more detailed information?
