Dear OF Team,

I have some text attributes for comments in my survey form. These attributes have simple expressions to test for requiredness. The check works as expected in Designer's Preview and in Collect Mobile but gives the error message "Error: Reason blank not specified" in Data Management. 64 bit Windows 10, Collect 3.26.15, Chrome 84.0.4147.125.

Can you reproduce this issue?

Cheers, Andras

Dear Andras,
When you enter records using Collect / Data Management, you will be requested to fill every field, event the non-required ones (this is to ensure that the user doesn't skip any fields during the data entry process).
This is the expected behavior of Collect; if a field is empty for some reason (it was blank in the form, illegible or N/A) you can specify it by right clicking on a field an selecting the "Reason blank" or by typing the corresponding short key.
When the records are imported from Collect Mobile, they are already in the second phase (Data Cleansing) so there is no need anymore to ask for every field to be inserted.
Here you can find a very simple introduction to the Data Workflow of Collect.
You can find more detailed explanations in the manual.
Many thanks,
