name_qualifier column

0	Hello, for some of my survey attributes an extra column is generated in the output-CSV named name_qualifier. What is it used for and is it possible to not include it in data export? collect asked 28 Oct '16, 11:18 jesnw 23●8●11 accept rate: 0%

Hi Jens,
That column is relative to a Code Attribute in the survey designer; when in the Code List associated to the Code Attribute there is one item with the "include specify field" option selected, then the data export will include another extra column that will include the value specified by the user when that item is selected (e.g. the user selects the "Other" option and then he specifies a text value).
Only in that case the column is included in the data export.
