Hi,

Am I right with the below fields in Schema of the CE template available in Collect, some of which are required and others are optional?

Required

  • *id : id extracted from the plot file
  • *location : X and Y coordinates ( in the CSV the headers are YCoordinate and XCoordinate), extracted from the plot file
  • operator : extracted from the interface where operator enters his/her name
  • actively_saved : true/false according to whether the operator saved his/her entry and is wholly validated (green in the Google Earth list of plots)
  • actively_saved_on : timestamp when the operator saved the entry
  • operator: name of the operator that assessed the plot ( entered only once through the Collect Earth window)
  • plot_file: name of the plot file (CSV) that the plot belongs to ( i.e. province1.csv )

Optional

  • *elevation : extracted from the plot file
  • *slope : extracted from the plot file
  • *aspect : extracted from the plot file
  • calculated_elevation_range : calculated based on code list and "elevation"
  • calculated_aspect : calculated based on code list and "aspect"
  • calculated_slope : calculated based on code list and "slope"

Attributes with asterisk (*) mark those that come from the plot file.

Many thanks,

Florence

Hi Florence,

You are exactly right, this is a very good description of the attributes within the default Collect Earth surveys.

If you don't need the elevation, slope and aspect you may remove them (and their calculated range attributes), the fields that are always necessary on the CSV file with the plot locations are id,YCoordinate and XCoordinate.

The operator, actively_saved, actively_saved_on and plot_file should always be in the survey as they are used internally by Collect Earth (the survey will fail in Collect Earth if you remove them)

Thanks for the help describing the fields.
