Hi Colleagues,

In Vietnam, vernacular names of the species have characters with accents.

However, those vernacular names do not appear in the auto competition window at the data entry stage for the field type taxon linked with that species list, if you type the name with or without accent.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Mino,
The vernacular name appears only if you search for a species by vernacular name and not by scientific name. In case you want, there is an option in the survey designer to show a unique vernacular name associated to a species (if any). Anyway, can you share with us your survey?
Thanks,

Hi Stefano,

Yes Of Course!! Maybe my question was not that clear.

I Do search in the vernacular name field . And if the vernacular name has accents it doesn't appear in the popup window . I certainly do NOT search for vernacular names in the scientific name field.

I was trying to upload a screenshot of the error on the forum, but it seems it's not possible.

I will send you the survey.

Thank you for your quick answer.
