wms map doesn't appear in project

I added a new imagery layer, but it doesn't appear in the project I created. Also the DigitalGlobelWMSImagery nor the BinAerial don't show up in my project (or in another public project). The DigitalGlobeImagery layers on the other hand, do show up. When adding a new imagery layer (WMS), I left the GeoServerParams blank. Is that correct?
