We have a project where plots have multiple users assigned to each. We run multiple rounds of reviews that will allow the users to review any disagreements and change their answers after discussion.

However, once we have downloaded the sample data after these rounds of reviews, some samples have their updated answers while others do not. Some of the reviewed samples show that their collection date as old as 3 weeks ago even though we have confirmation from the contributors that they have updated their answers a day or two before.

Is this a known issue and what solutions can we implement?

Hi @salee_CI,

Could you please let me know what project you are seeing this issue for? That will help us investigate further.

Thank you! Karen

Hi Karen,

Sorry for the late reply. The project is https://app.collect.earth/collection?projectId=49428

Thank you!

The collection_time column records the time of the original collection, so it will not update. However, I think having an 'updated time' column would be useful so I will pass that idea along to the team!

I have not been able to replicate the issue with some samples not updating. Could you please have your interpreters try again noting three key things:

  1. Be sure to select all relevant samples.
  2. If changing a text field be sure to hit "Save" next to the text field.
  3. When all the changes have been made for a plot, be sure to hit "Save" for the plot.

Sorry I can't upload an image to show this (I don't have enough "points").

Let me know if you are still seeing the sample update issue. If so, please send me the plot #s where you are seeing the issue.

Thank you!!

Hi Karen,

Thanks for having a look through, sounds like a useful addition. Perhaps it might be a review protocol issue too so we'll go through with the interpreters. They were confused when we showed them that their reviewed answers did not update.

We're having trouble with plots: 292, 379, 391, 396, 408, 410, 1861, 1890, 2041, 2055, 2058, 2077, 2082, 2098, 2113, 2127, 2176, 2189, 2198, 2211, 2702, 2729, 2736, 2743, 2754, 2757, 2898, 2908, 2953, 3007. We've had the interpreters try to see if they can replicate those issues and they encountered the same problem with these plots too.
