Hello OF team,

I'm writing because I've detected a problem in Arena Mobile with user roles. A user with the "data editor" role in Arena Mobile can download any survey record (even if they didn't create it), download it, modify it, and re-upload it to Arena (In Arena, a data editor can see all records but only modify the ones they created)

Furthermore, I'd like to propose an improvement to the roles. With Arena's current features, a Data Cleanser user has access to edit all records in a survey, but I think it would be interesting to create a new role (or adapt the Data Cleanser role) so that it could be defined which records they have access to and which they don't (depending on the user (field crew) who created them). In short, a Data Cleanser should only be able to edit the records of their related Data Editors (field crew).

As always, thank you so much for your incredible work!

Regards

Dear Oscar,
Thank you for reporting the issue in Arena Mobile; we will address it as soon as possible.
Regarding your suggestion about user roles, we have already begun exploring ways to group users.
We will keep you updated on our progress and may reach out to involve you in preliminary testing for these new features.
Many thanks,
The Open Foris Team
