I want to prepare sample collection plots for Biophysical Survey assessment that will be used as an input for Action against for Desertification. To do this I want decide the appropriate sampling design and statistical formula that helps me to compute the required sample plots. Is there a tool to do this?

Dear Tarikugeda,

sorry for the delay in answering this question. And...I'm afraid I'm going to answer your question with another question:

What do you want to know? What information do you want to find out from your survey? This will help determine what kind of sample to use and how many points you will need. There are tools to help you determine sample size and allocation...but it would be based on the kind of information you want.

I want to generate sample points for Great Green Wall initiative project for biophysical base line assessment. My question how many sample points are enough to say representative for our assessment. How can(in what formula and software can I generate it)
