Hello everyone,

I've been using OpenForis Collect mobile for one year during forest inventory in Gabon and it was working fine until today. Lately the app seemed to be slower that usual, with more data on each plot. I'm using BlackView 9100 android devices.

During the data export, the app seems to be processing and displays "Please Wait" but nonetheless after a few minutes it shuts down completely. It also produces a corrupted collect-data file that I cannot open in the data management import of Open Foris Collect. The same crash happens during the opening of the last data recorded.

I've tried to back it up and to open it on another devices but it won't work.

Maybe you have some insight about what is causing the problem and maybe about how to recover the data ? Knowing that the forms worked great until yesterday, for other fieldcrew and other devices too but tinier data set.

Thanks a lot !

Dear user, First of all you can try to export the records one by one, by entering each one of them in the for editor and selecting Export from the top right menu.
Maybe the problem is related to the export of some records, not all of them, for some reason.
Let us know, meanwhile we will contact you to your private email address so you can share with us your survey and the data collected to better understand the problem.
Many thanks,

Thanks for your fast answer. The problem is that I can't enter the editor either. The process of opening ends up with the crash of OpenForis Collect the same way it does with export.
