Hello everyone,

We have a problem with individual data inputs randomly disappearing while working in the collectmobile app. In our survey we are creating a list of tree seedlings at different sites where we input information like seedling tag number (as text attribute and key), height (as number attribute), diameter,etc.. The problem is that sometimes while working in the app, individual data inputs from previous seedlings are randomly disappearing. So far this has only happened for seedling tag number or height. For example, we would put in information for a new seedling and then all of a sudden the seedling tag number from one of the previous seedlings is gone. Unfortunately, this happens rather frequently.

Is this a common problem or do you have an idea what could be going wrong or how we could solve the issue?

Thank you and have a great day, Johann Püspök

Dear Johann,
It could be related to the way you input data into the numeric fields (maybe by mistake you insert some wrong character and the value is not stored properly...).
In Collect Mobile, while you are entering a value into a text or numeric field, you should see a small loading spinner on the top right corner. Please try to wait for it to disappear; if the value is stored in a wrong way, you see a small red icon there.
We will contact you to your private email address to better understand the problem.
Many thanks,
