I have the boundaries of a small area, and I need to generate a grid using Collect Earth SIGRID master grid. The grid must be 500x500m (which will embed the 1x1km)

Right now the SIGRID does not support 500m grids ( only 1 km or multiples of it) and the process of downgrading from 1000m to 500m is too laborious.

To create a 500m grid please use the Collect Earth Grid Generator App. Make sure to choose the adequate Coordinate Reference System for your area in order to get a most precise distance between plots. These are some that might apply to Malawi https://epsg.io/?q=malawi . Not all EPSG codes are supported in GEE, so test a bit. Also, once you generate the CSV grids load them in Google Earth ( see section E of this document on hot to load CSVs on GEP) and make sure that the distance between plots and the resulting grid look ok.

If no CRS EPSG codes work well then use the global code EPSG:4326, since Malawi is not too far from the equator the grid will be more or less fine.

Here is a video that explains how to use the Grid Generator app : YouTube Tutorial
