When I download Collect Earth for Windows and I try to run the installer I get an error saying "Windows Protected your PC" and then : Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk Is there a problem with Collect Earth or does it pose a threat? How can I install Collect Earth desktop? |

From Windows 11 onward, Microsoft has introduced additional security measures that require applications to be digitally signed with a security certificate to pass Windows Defender SmartScreen checks. The Collect Earth installer is not currently signed. However, this does not mean it is unsafe; it simply requires you to manually approve the installation. To proceed with the installation:
