Our survey consists of a number of attributes and a photo taken at the sample plot. We are planning to use mobile network to transfer survey data during the campaign from the tablets using e.g. dropbox. I would like to avoid that the photos are send aswell, to reduce the amount of data to transfer. The photos shall be collected from the devices after the survey. How are photos which are taken in the survey stored? Can they be saved separately or excluded from the other survey data? asked 09 Sep '16, 10:39 LKwh |
Thank you for your comments! We have had these feature in mind for a while, so we will add it to the top of our development roadmap. Right now sadly we don't support it but I think it should be added in the coming weeks/months. /Support answered 12 Sep '16, 11:23 Open Foris ♦♦ |
I am also needing what you are trying. All the photo taken from collect mobile are stored in the same gallery as the other photo are stored. I hope there should be separate folders(Survey name wise) saved and that all can be transferred in convenient time. Most importantly, It should be automatically written down location value in photo without setting it separately from the main setting while taking photo from collect.I hope openforis team is thinking about it. answered 09 Sep '16, 17:40 Rajkumar |
A new version of Collect Mobile was just released, which includes the option to export data without the photos. Once data collection is done, you can do a final export, including the photos. An option to export to the device's Downloads directory is also included, which make it easy to locate the file when you connect with USB. answered 15 Sep '16, 13:49 wiell |
