Hi,

I was wondering if there is a recommended minimum internet speed by operator. It would allow me to judge which of the venues we are considering has enough internet for 20 operators…

Thanks,

Florence

The best thing is if you can ask the venues to run an internet speed test from their premises to make sure that the connection is as advertised. You can choose one of these methods : SEE POST

It is difficult to say for sure because the quality of the internet connection is so difficult to judge, but for 20 users you should try to have at least 20 Mbps for Collect Earth to run smoothly.

Let us know how it goes!

This is very helpful, I forwarded your recommendation to our partners in Ethiopia. Thanks! Florence

Hi!

I am asking our partners in Ethiopia to check their actual internet speed as you recommended. I understand I need at least 1 Mbps per operator.

I am worried they check one computer only, which might not reflect what would happen if 20 people were connected to Google Earth at the same time. What should I ask them to check the connectivity of? Not individual computers but the server?

Thanks!

Florence
