Whenever I try starting Collect Earth, I get the error message "The server is already running" and Collect Earth does not get launched. Any ideas how to solve that? asked 10 Nov '14, 17:52 Antonia |
The problem can be caused as Giulio said by a Collect Earth project ( the process will be actually called javaw in the process list). Another option is that another program is using the some port that Collect Earth is attempting to bind the Jetty server to. To change this go to Collect Earth properties file located on C:/Users/YOURUSER/AppData/Roaming/CollectEarth/earth.properties and there locate the line that starts with port Close Collect Earth if it is running and change the port number to something else, for instance port=8125 Restart Collect Earth and now it should work fine. answered 11 Nov '14, 12:04 Open Foris ♦♦ |
Hi Antonia, on Windows? Did you try just to go to the Task Manager and force quit the Collect Earth process that may be lying there in the background? Giulio answered 10 Nov '14, 22:50 gmarchi ♦♦ |
